Love Lettuce

My skin has been feeling a little dull lately and with the down pour of rain today I thought it would be the perfect night to pamper myself. I have been experimenting with different face mask products and really found one I absolutely love. It is called Love Lettuce from Lush. I just love the ground almonds inside it. It gives  the mask a soft "scrubby" texture. It also interestingly enough has seaweed gel which is so refreshing. I definitely suggest trying it.
Best part...if you save 5 of the black pots and bring them back to the store you get a free mask. Love it! and LOVE love lettuce.

Winged Eyeliner

When it comes to my daily makeup routine I usually go with the saying "less is more". So the classic winged eyeliner is one of my favorite staples to wear.
A lot of people are afraid of the thought of liquid eyeliner with good reason it can seem a bit scary. But I promise practice makes perfect!

Master the look:
*Start with your favorite liquid or gel eyeliner. (My favorite is Make Up Forever's Waterproof Eyeliner) and a small eyeliner brush. I prefer to use BareEscentuals eyeliner brush. Its small and precise so you don't end up with too thick of a line.
*Slowly drag your eyeliner brush starting at the inner corner of your eye toward the outer corner. Try to stay as close to your lash line as possible. Don't worry if it is not perfectly straight you will be going back over the line again later.
*Keep your eyes relaxed and slightly open to keep your eyelid as flat and smooth as possible.
*Next draw in the outer line of your wing. This should be tilting upward in the same direction as your lower lash line. Just imagine that your lower lash line is continuing on upwards. If you have a hooded eye you may want to angle your eyeliner more outwards in order to avoid the hooded area.
*The lenghth of you wing is really up to you the farther out the more dramatic your eyes will appear.
*Now you need to connect your wing back to your lash line. Dont start at the very tip you want that to be as fine as possible. When drawing your line back in gradualy make the liner thinner as you move closer to the inner eye. It should look thicker on the outer corner of the eye and thinner in the inner corner.
*Thats it! Take your time it may take a few tries before you get it just right.

Good luck!
xoxo Sel.

Its been too long...

I can not believe it has been over a year since I have updated my blog! The time has flown by and so much has happened. I have been so happy to be part of multiple weddings, a beautiful boudoir photo shoot and well my favorite part of being a makeup artist experimenting with all the amazing new makeup products that come out. I promise I will be posting photos from the events...stay tuned!
Untill then have a happy Friday!
